THE BANNOCKBURN NEWS

The Bannockburn Community Planning Group has revived the former Bannockburn and District Community Newsletter after 7 years in the information wilderness, as simply Bannockburn News.
With generous support and advice from the original Editor Lyell Reeves and Peter Trevaskis from the Leigh News, a volunteer sub-committee of the Planning Group has taken on this important task.
We wish to make this YOUR community newsletter and welcome contributions and suggestions from across our diverse community.
While the information landscape has changed greatly since 2018 due to a greater emphasis on online information, we know there is still an important role for hard copy newsletters. The success of our December and March editions and of Leigh News and Meredith News emphasise this point.
While our original intention was to publish monthly, our busy volunteers have decided that we can better serve the community with a hybrid model, by publishing quarterly according to the seasons and also providing communication services on this website and our Facebook page.
Our publishing dates will be the start of June, September, December and March.
We need your community news, events, contact details, and advertising support from local businesses. Without our generous advertisers we can’t pay the printers.
Pick up your free copy of the Bannockburn News in the places you usually find the Golden Plains Times.
